NSW has made significant changes to WorkCover NSW commencing from September 2015
As part of the reforms, WorkCover NSW has been replaced by three separate organisations including:
1. SafeWork NSW – the independent work health and safety regulator
2. State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) – the independent insurance regulator
3. Insurance & Care NSW – a single customer-focused insurance and care service provider.
What this means to you…All business as usual enquiries to SafeWork NSW can continue via phone 13 10 50
We will be amending our courses to reflect the new changes in our White Card Courses as well as other safety related courses from “WorkCover NSW” to “SafeWork NSW”.
Service offered by SafeWork NSW across the whole of NSW still include:
- Inspectorate continues to provide advice, as well as undertake compliance and enforcement activities and conduct investigations
- Authorised training and assessment providers continue to provide critical services to our customers on our behalf
- Information, assistance and advice continues to be available via the SafeWork NSW website (www.safework.nsw.gov.au) and our Customer Service Centre (13 10 50).
SafeWork NSW will remain focused on the prevention of work related injuries and illnesses and effective return to work programs.
