Often people ask us when do I need a white card (also referred to as a Construction Induction Card)?
The answer is actually quite simple. The Work Health and Safety (WHS) Legislation states that a Construction White Card Training is required when someone carries out construction work. This is raises another question what’s considered to be construction work.
What is Construction Work?
Construction work can include:
- Removal of demolition waste
- Testing of element used in construction work
- Assembly or disassembly of prefabricated material
- Installation, testing and maintenance of services
- Landscaping
For more information refer to Chapter 6 of the WHS Regulation.
So if you are carrying construction work or construction related work you should probably complete your Construction White Card.
