Course Overview
This course is based on the WHS Regulation 2011 and aims to familirise workers, supervisors and managers with the health effects of asbestos, safe handling procedures and the legal obligations when working with asbestos. Topics covered included:
- Understanding the risk posed by asbestos.
- Understand the WHS legislative requirements regarding asbestos management in the workplace.
- PCBU and Controller Responsibilities.
- Recognise potential sources of asbestos in the workplace.
- Asbestos Register and Asbestos Management Plan.
